April 30 at 3:05 PMTo me, a sustainable community looks like an accessible community for all--access to fresh food, quality education, parks and recreational activities--ideally all that can be reached by foot. This video was extremely interesting--I have never heard of these anaerobic digesters before but it is amazing how they can take on of the most potent GHG...

April 30 at 2:26 PMI have really enjoyed this challenge and will miss checking in everyday and seeing all my teammates have accomplished. My pledge is to continue my actions to help make this planet a better place for my grandchildren.

April 29 at 10:41 AMI worked at the community garden, the Garden of Eden. They raise vegetables for the local food pantry. Really enjoyed working outdoors with members of the Jewish and Chinese community. It helps knowing our hard work will help feed hungry people.

April 29 at 10:37 AMTake the train or a bus. Drive a hybrid or electric car if I can.

April 29 at 10:01 AMI love buying my milk from a local farmer in a glass jar - no waste! Fresh milk! Supporting a local farmer! It just doesn't get better than that. If only I had a Local Harvest store closer to me, I would shop there more often. At least it is farmers' market season!
