Supermarkets are one of the leading contributors of having negative effects on our climate due to their refrigeration systems, which have high refrigerant charge leakage and high electricity consumption.

I address my feelings of concern about the climate change by trying to make a difference!  I try to do this by making changes in my daily habits; by educating myself; and, by informing and encouraging others!

I will have to say tracking wasted food has made me more aware of what's in my refrigerator, even the items that get pushed to the back. I didn't throw out much food and I believe it was because I was tracking it. I do know that I will continue to keep track of what I have and what should be eaten "now" by preparing meals that call...

I am enjoying growing my own garden! I had no idea how fast radishes grew. Should be able to harvest in just a few more weeks. I will have lettuce, cucumbers and strawberries all summer!!

I think by spending time outdoors and actually in an environment you're not familiar with can give you a newfound appreciation for the land/environment.
