  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

Out of all the meat available, I have always loved fish the most because my body seems to digest it best.  However, I've recently watched Seaspiracy and was horrified by the ocean pollution and the treatment of sea animals.  I've seen sources discrediting Seaspiracy, but I believe it is indisputable that the current amount of fishing is unsustainable.  I hope to one day to become a vegetarian, but for now I'll do my best not to eat fish.

Lauren, I feel so similarly here! I tried veganism, vegetarianism, but coming back to eating fish is just so much more sustainable for me. Intentional eating is key, and I applaud you for taking the time to learn more!!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Learn the Truth About Expiration Dates
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

I enjoyed learning  the meaning of expiration dates and had me researching further on the expiration dates of food after they are cooked.  It is sad to think how much food is being wasted due to lack of awareness.  I very much appreciate this challenge.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Eat Mindfully
Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?

Eating mindfully has me contemplating where my food is sourced.  I am grateful to be eating delicious meals and hope to somehow promote sustainability.
