Bailey Harris 4/20/2021 3:28 PMWhen I throw something away, I think can this be recycled? the amount of times I have pulled something out of the trash has astounded me. If there is food residue on it I simple give it a quick wash and toss it in my recycling bin. adds a few minutes to my day but the long term benefits make it worth it! Recycling is for the long game not the short!!-
Taylor Terrien 4/22/2021 6:41 AMI totally agree with this Bailey! I love recycling in a small trash can then taking it out to my recycling bin once its full. It's fulfilling to know something so simple can be making a big impact!

Bailey Harris 4/20/2021 3:24 PMToday I started to track my food waste this EcoChallenge!
I realized my family threw a lot of bananas peels away or bananas in general. some solutions I came up with to combat this include:
1. freeze browned banana- for banana bread or for smoothies
2. compost the peels
3. put the peels in water so that water absorbs left over nutrients being thrown out and feel the banana water to plants, then compost left over peel.-
Karem Montemayor 4/21/2021 11:10 AMIve never seen that third tip but im definitely going to try this!!!
