Mostly done.  I have 4 areas in my back yard and two in my front yard.  Attached are two images :) one is the before, well actually it was all covered with weeds and I took those out.  Used a pickaxe and turned over the soil.  Then added soil amendments (earth worm casings, peat moss, enriched topsoil) then leveled the whole thing and finally did the planting.  The backyard also has a succulent section, a water feature with some flowers (not in the picture) and some yellow and pink snap dragons.  The yellow over wintered and the pink I planted today!

I found a new meatless option that I just love. Sliced bananas dabbled with peanut butter, then drizzled with honey. yum

I recently just bough bamboo for my bathroom and I absolutely love it. I find it absorbs moisture and it cleans easy

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Industry Recycle Everything I Can
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

We've been practicing recycling ever since my boys were in grade school.  We still go to the recycling center with a van load of recyclables.  Anything that is recyclable that does not go to recycling center goes into the recycling bin for city pick up or if reusable we will find ways to repurpose.  It feels good to be able to help minimize what is going to land fills and to help the next generation continue on with the practice of recycling.

I planted a native bush that attracts both bees and hummingbirds!  Later I'll probably plant a Manzanita  tree
