Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Zero-waste Cooking
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?

This is really hard when going into the office, due to covid everything is prepackaged and single use, so the emphasis is on cooking food at home, generally fresh veggies that don't require packaging

This was honestly doing the bare minimum, recently moved and didn't even have a recycling and so I'd put recyclables in the bin just to aid mess. But Ordered another bin so that I can be green + clean.

This was honestly not quite as bad as I thought. However I do live in a badly insulated apartment and I fear that my heating usage especially will skyrocket post summer! Doing this also reinforced my fears of just how bad a meat diet is, some good motivation for meat free days!

It's really hard to approximate living in a share house, and air travel is quite meaningless at the moment, but I definitely do need to generally be more conscious about where I source things like utilities and food, instead of going for the easiest/cheapest by default

Electricity Watch a Video about Methane Digesters
What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

A sustainable community primarily needs community first, instead of being a collection of people, shared ethos and goals is critical to creating a space where growth and change can happen. I would love to see a community with a circular economy of sorts, where resources are shared and taken care of, where custodianship is prioritised over ownership.

Walking through the city, there are so many cars and bike/pedestrian infrastructure is definitely not a priority, dedicated pedestrian lanes/streets would be lovely
