    While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

    This is also an old trick for dieters.  It makes it look like more when you use a smaller plate.

    with potatoes.  many of the skins  people normally peel off are actually very edible and tasty. The thinner the skin the taster it is.

    Hours of labor..My daughter has a garden that we both very hard in daily and when I see some of the produce uneaten it is very disturbing knowing all it took just it form that item.

    Serious consideration of anti-turf lawns that surround everyone's home (front & back).  The amount of wasted water that I see trickling down through the gutter path is unneeded.
