    Entropy. We create a lot of heat and are slowly (not-so-slowly?) warming the planet. Individuals can choose to make less heat by using green, cool, or solar roofs. I think I'm going to explore "cool" roofs. Maybe even green roofs. We'll see.

    I'm surprised that my worst CO2 problem comes from food. I wonder how much switching to a plant-based diet will change things.

    What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

    I don't know my fully qualified vision at this time, but, it starts with greenspaces in these large housing subdivisions with small or no yard so that they can learn/teach growing fruits/vegetables.  It has people making fewer trips to grocery stores for food because they become true friends with the farmers and bee keepers in their area and begin supporting them by purchasing from them.

    I had no idea what biomass really meant and after reading a number of the articles available, I would not be surprised if biomass boilers are not introduced to many public schools within the next 5-7 years as a way to cut the budget and decrease the footprint.
