  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Keep Track of Wasted Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. How would you rather use this money?

Electricity Watch a Video about Methane Digesters
What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

I don't know my fully qualified vision at this time, but, it starts with greenspaces in these large housing subdivisions with small or no yard so that they can learn/teach growing fruits/vegetables.  It has people making fewer trips to grocery stores for food because they become true friends with the farmers and bee keepers in their area and begin supporting them by purchasing from them.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity Solar Water Consultation
Diversifying our energy supply and improving public health are just two benefits of renewable energy. What other motivators inspire you to consider installing a solar water heater in your home?

I had no idea what biomass really meant and after reading a number of the articles available, I would not be surprised if biomass boilers are not introduced to many public schools within the next 5-7 years as a way to cut the budget and decrease the footprint.
