Wow! This is a great web site! So educational. Loved the gentle reminders to do. more stuff and. check in frequently. I learned a lot about how to live more sustainably, my not-so-great habits, and also great things I am already doing. I am looking forward to participating in future challenges so I can learn how to use the web site more effectively and score more points. Thanks!

Gotta say that engaging in a meditation retreat that recommends meatless meals and rrecipes has shown me how delicious meatless meals can be. It will be easier for our family now to pursue 85% meatless living.

Our community garden at home feeds us and also prevents the use of pesticides and fertilizers since we use non in our aeroponic tower garden. It matter to us that our family east healthier when we grow our own food and share our food with friends.

I appreciate the email reminders to check in and they have helped me be more aware of the challenge and my actions. I don't check in every day so daily. challenges aren't working for me to keep an accurate accounting of my actions. for example, I hiked Saturday and Sunday but didn't check in til Tuesday and I was unable to go back and list results for exploring nature areas. Weekly goals would work better for me. I've heard a lot of folks say the. same thing, its hard to check in every day, so better options for tracking are needed.

Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Composting
Producing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?

Fertilizer. I got tired of throwing away and thus wasting food scraps and yard clippings so I hired 301 Organics to compost for me and give students a chance to learn about composting at the same time.

The climate is in a state of emergency. I feel like what I can do, I must do, to help save the Earth as our home. That's why I am leading Community 2.0 to mobilize our community to take actions such as these in the Ecochallenge platform.
