    I think finding a hobby you really enjoy like gardening, music, or journaling are great alternatives to buying more things. It can be difficult because it seems like we're surrounded by ads all the time but I think it's important to practice things that bring you real joy.

    Woo hoo we're planting 10 coast live oak trees around campus today!  The leaves are dark green, oval with sharp fibers.

    The first time I visited Yosemite NP! It is so much more amazing than I ever dreamed it could be, and it truly makes you think about how amazing and powerful nature is to have created such a beautiful and profound space. I will never forget how I felt seeing it for the first time.

    There are some bamboo alternatives available for certain products. For example, I recently needed a new cutting board and hair brush, instead of purchasing plastic I found a bamboo cutting board and a bamboo hair brush!

    Today I'm learning more about deforestation and anti-logging laws. Excited to plant more tree around campus this Spring! #TEAMTREES
