REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Amy Wallace 4/04/2021 8:18 PMI believe that people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places because there is more meat available to them. Consuming meat increases our risk of heart disease, stroke, and cancers. It affects our planet by using a large amount of water and also, meat farms release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere creating greenhouse gases. These problems, when all brought together, affects the way people live. Poor air quality, less water, poor land and ocean quality. These are affects of consuming meat that in turn affect us. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Accelerating Solutions Give a MicroloanGlobally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. Why do you think that is?
Amy Wallace 4/04/2021 7:51 PMI believe this is because of the way that some men and woman are brought up differently. Woman tend to stay with their families longer, which I believe makes their connection stronger. I also believe that woman are more empathetic than men, which means they will give more to their community and family than men would. For men, I believe many of them are brought up to not have to depend on others, so they end up being more concerned about themselves.
