Noah Trinidad 4/12/2021 11:42 AMThere is a lot i didn´t know and somethings I would love to do. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Climate Resilience Tend A GardenHave you ever had a significant experience in nature that altered your perspective or focus? If so, please describe it.
Noah Trinidad 4/08/2021 9:41 AMCamping is always an altering experience, just roughing it and enjoying the great outdoors, not to mention the stars you can see at night. This really helps put things in perspective and show the beauty of nature, and why we have to protect it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Climate Resilience Learn More about SilvopastureHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
Noah Trinidad 4/08/2021 9:39 AMI had not heard of this. It is such an easy solution (although takes hard work) that has a huge impact and can really change a farm around. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Stay on the GroundWhat was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?
Noah Trinidad 4/08/2021 9:03 AMI wanted to travel to the northern part of the country but opted for staying locally. I realized there are a lot of places that I still have not visited that are totally worth the trip. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Go for a Daily WalkWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Noah Trinidad 4/08/2021 9:02 AMI love the green area and the fact that there are always seasonal flowers and plants, it is very fresh and there are benches for quick breaks. I would love to see some of the sidewalks fixed and more running paths put in. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Express My Support For Walkable CitiesHow could better walking infrastructure make your city both more enjoyable and more equitable?
Noah Trinidad 4/08/2021 8:57 AMEnforcing traffic laws more in certain intersections. We have a lot of green areas in which to walk and enjoy, however, they are sometimes hard to get to because of the intersections and the general disregard for traffic laws. We need more education, or harsher laws. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Research and Consider Switching to a Hybrid or Electric VehicleReducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?
Noah Trinidad 4/08/2021 8:55 AMThe fact that over time, I will be saving in terms of fuel. I think this is very important considering that fuel prices keep going up here in Mexico. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Learn More About Geothermal EnergyGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?
Noah Trinidad 4/07/2021 1:00 PMHere in Mexico, the majority of homes do not have cooling or heating systems; however, every corporate building and big business does have a cooling system so I will advocate this type of technology or the alternative, air-source heat pumps, whenever I have the opportunity. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Watch a Video about Methane DigestersWhat does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?
Noah Trinidad 4/07/2021 12:53 PMMy vision of a more sustainable Mexico would be one in which new technology and new ideas (such as methane digesters) are able to be implemented; people would be able to change out obsolete technology for something more renewable in their homes. As things stand, the technology is available but it is sometimes out of the majority of people's budget or they don't see the benefits of making that change. What we would need in order to make bigger changes in terms of renewable energy in our homes would be government subsidies or small tax breaks, this could incentivize giant corporations to lead the way in changes and would also add a monetary incentive to private homeowners.
