My family adopted a drain (named "Echo").
We have also planted trees in our yard and boulevard which soaks up excess rain water and also filters pollutants.

We live in a home with well and septic.  We rarely (if ever!) use pesticides or chemicals on our lawn and garden.  This ensures it doesn't impact the creek nearby either, making safer water supply for all in our valley.
