I love to spend time with my little keyhole garden.  On one hand I get to compost kitchen scraps and on the other I can grow beautiful vegetables using the resulting compost.  It is a complete circle.

    Adriana Sandu 4/28/2021 8:38 AM
Being able to produce energy from a renewable, non polluting, self-sustaining source like solar is ideal not only from a cost perspective, but from the impact to the environment.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

This week DTNA announced the opening of an electric super charging station on Swan Island, next to the corporate headquarters in Portland, OR.  The station was developed and built  along with the PGE (Portland General Electric), the local energy provider.  I'm proud to be part of a company that not only develops electric vehicles, but is also developing the infrastructure that helps support these vehicles on the road.  Way to go Daimler!!!!

How could better walking infrastructure make your city both more enjoyable and more equitable?

    Adriana Sandu's avatar
    Adriana Sandu 4/22/2021 1:11 PM
Better walking infrastructure would allow city dwellers to leave their cars at home more therefore reducing pollution, get more exercise, and interact more with their neighbors.  It would also give those without cars the ability to easily reach goods and services in their community.

I never realized how much energy is lost from its source to the consumer.  We must definitely improve our grid to maximize its efficiency.
