REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Learn the Truth About Expiration DatesHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Zachary Rosenfeld 4/30/2021 6:46 PMIt allows you to use a more common sense approach to consuming what is still fresh and good enough to eat. It’s often just about an individual’s mindset to push the boundaries of what manufacturers deem appropriate. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use CompostingProducing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?
Zachary Rosenfeld 4/30/2021 6:42 PMAll of it combined! Reducing food waste is such an easy and accessible solution - that everyone can participate in - it starts with being more mindful and eating what we buy and composting only what is unavoidable waste, like bones, coffee grounds, etc. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Forest-Friendly Foods 2How difficult or easy was it to change your diet?
Zachary Rosenfeld 4/30/2021 3:05 PMThe difficulty was in remembering to pay attention to ingredients lists - sometimes we aren’t aware of what’s used to make our packaged food, or from where it comes, or if it’s sustainable sourced! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller PortionsWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
Zachary Rosenfeld 4/29/2021 6:50 PMThis one’s easy - our own personal health! Especially here in North America we tend to eat too much, or take too much and then not eat it, which translates to incredible food waste. Practicing smaller portions is a great (and easy) way to create healthy people & a healthy planet! 🤗 -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustry Choose Recycled PaperGood job on choosing recycled paper! How can you take your action a step further?

REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustry Practice the 5 R'sWhat are some more "R's" you could add to your daily practice to reduce your waste?
