What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

My perfect sustainable community would draw from a large solar grid from deserts and a large wind grid from plains. These would power the nations, but for smaller tasks such as cooking, biogas would be used to replace charcoal and wood, thus creating a sustainable future. To do this we need to move past the economic system of today and work towards large government initiatives and projects.

How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?

I think it's about switching to alternatives that are hopefully affordable. If I have learned anything in this class it is that the process of meat harvesting is awful. I think it might be time to go vegan.

Had you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?

I think the greatest advantage of silvopasture is its ability to effectively deal with the symptoms of climate change and contain its own climate-damaging outputs.
