REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Education Research Barriers to Participation and RepresentationWhat are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?
Olga Mullen 4/30/2021 10:39 AMWomen’s advancement in the workplace has taken significant strides in the past 50 years. Research demonstrates, however, that despite an increased presence of female employees in mid-management positions, executive positions across the globe continue to be dominated by men. What is the next step? -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Accelerating Solutions Give a MicroloanGlobally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. Why do you think that is?
Olga Mullen 4/30/2021 4:09 AMDo you know a non-profit organization Kiva? By lending as little as $25, you can be part of the solution and make a real difference in someone’s life. 100% of every dollar you lend on Kiva goes to funding loans. Start lending today, like myself:) -

Olga Mullen 4/27/2021 12:17 AMLast week of this challenge but not the last chance to change our habits. For me, I am definitely adding more meatless food to my diet! -
Olga Mullen 4/26/2021 2:50 PMOur bin for bio-waste gets full in about a week (2 adults, 1 first-grader). Composting in the nearby community garden is beneficial in many ways - we get some time spent outdoors and my daughter gets an eco-habit. -
Olga Mullen 4/25/2021 12:42 AMSunday experiment: making lunch of leftover ingredients, trying not to waste a single item. I hope the result will taste good, regardless of meat absence. PS: in the worst-case scenario, our dog is kinda vegetarian. So there will be no wasting at the end of the day for sure!:) -
Olga Mullen 4/24/2021 12:25 PMA gorgeous day spent in the countryside, it´s easy to earn points by walking and enjoying nature! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Watch a Video about Methane DigestersWhat does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?
Olga Mullen 4/22/2021 3:44 AMA sustainable community in my vision is economically thriving, environmentally healthy, and socially resilient. By taking an active role in the management and protection of your local amenities, people should improve their well-being while promoting a clean environment and a prosperous future. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Climate Resilience Express My Support For Walkable CitiesHow could better walking infrastructure make your city both more enjoyable and more equitable?
Olga Mullen 4/22/2021 3:37 AMImproving walkability citywide is determined by many factors. The city of Prague could for example make more zones for pedestrians only or to ban cars in specific areas at certain times. This has already been happening to some extent, however, it´s not enough to see the real impact. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Climate Resilience Learn about 'Green Gentrification'Cities and towns need to plan for climate change. How can your city or town make its climate action plans equitable and socially just?
Olga Mullen 4/22/2021 3:24 AMPrague’s climate change adaptation strategy is to enhancing long-term resilience and reduce vulnerability to climate change effects by the step-by-step implementation of adaptive measures, preferably applying nature-based solutions combined with grey, i.e. technological and soft measures, to provide the city´s inhabitants with high well-being.
