Go Paperless
Recycled Paper
I will reduce the amount of paper mail that I receive by 0.11lbs (0.05kg) a day or 3.3lbs (1.6kg) a month by opting into paperless billing, ending unwanted subscriptions and opting out of junk mail.
Industry
Recycle Everything I Can
Recycling
Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will research and recycle all materials that are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community, making sure to not contaminate recyclables with non-recyclables.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller PortionsWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
Krystyna Morozova 4/19/2021 12:54 PMEating smaller portions may also help with maintaining a healthier weight and help solve obesity in the US. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Krystyna Morozova 4/19/2021 12:53 PMNot only does eating more meat contribute to increase in CO2 emissions, but also it is generally more expensive can lead to health problems like heart disease. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Calculate My Carbon FootprintWhat stood out to you most about your carbon footprint? What surprised you or sparked curiosity? Where can you take most immediate action?
Krystyna Morozova 4/13/2021 12:40 PMWhile my result was 34% better than average consumer, I realized that my household's footprint can be improved with many simple commitments such as reducing consumption of red meat and dairy, practicing eco safe driving by reducing accelerations and breaking etc. I was surprised that driving just 10mph slower on a highway can make a difference. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustry Go PaperlessWhat do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?
Krystyna Morozova 3/30/2021 2:41 PMI want to prioritize over material "stuff": spending time with my family, friends and puppy, nourishing mind and body with immaterial things by keeping it healthy, clear and sane, and giving back and minimizing rather then acquiring.
