  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

    Krystyna Morozova's avatar

Eating smaller portions may also help with maintaining a healthier weight and help solve obesity in the US.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

    Krystyna Morozova's avatar
    Krystyna Morozova 4/19/2021 12:53 PM
Not only does eating more meat contribute to increase in CO2 emissions, but also it is generally more expensive can lead to health problems like heart disease.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity Calculate My Carbon Footprint
What stood out to you most about your carbon footprint? What surprised you or sparked curiosity? Where can you take most immediate action?

    Krystyna Morozova's avatar
    Krystyna Morozova 4/13/2021 12:40 PM
While my result was 34% better than average consumer, I realized that my household's footprint can be improved with many simple commitments such as reducing consumption of red meat and dairy, practicing eco safe driving by reducing accelerations and breaking etc. I was surprised that driving just 10mph slower on a highway can make a difference.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Industry Go Paperless
What do you want to prioritize over material 'stuff' in your own life?

    Krystyna Morozova's avatar
    Krystyna Morozova 3/30/2021 2:41 PM
I want to prioritize over material "stuff": spending time with my family, friends and puppy, nourishing mind and body with immaterial things by keeping it healthy, clear and sane, and giving back and minimizing rather then acquiring.
