REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Plant TreesHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Tuhin Misri 4/29/2021 1:32 PMPlanting and taking care of trees in the best investment in our nature, as we are subjects of our natural worlds. Unless we take care of our environment, we cant expect ours and future generations to thrive. Need to keep this going and teach our kids about man made issues that have been proven by scientific research so that they engage and trust in research backed recommendations, rather than believing in dogma and corporate interests blindly. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Education Research Barriers to Participation and RepresentationWhat are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?
Tuhin Misri 4/29/2021 1:28 PMI feel that a lot of the barriers that restricted women's equal participation in the 20th century have been take care of, in the recent few decades however equal pay for genders remains to be settled even in western countries. In developing and underdeveloped countries, more emphasis needs to be paid on women's education. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Learn More About Geothermal EnergyGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?
Tuhin Misri 4/27/2021 11:44 AMI can invest and promote energy companies that focus on geothermal energy. Besides, I can also support groups that promote use of geothermal along with other renewables. My goal is to live in a self sustainable home wherein I set an example for others to follow, innovate and eventually make easier to transition. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Explore My AreaHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?
Tuhin Misri 4/27/2021 11:40 AMBeing outdoors feels like home to the deepest of my senses and helps me connect with nature and myself. Looking at nature promotes sense of liveliness rather than being surrounded by man made artifacts that are supposed to promote safety and comfort yet suffocate us at times like living in a bubble. Recent pandemic times have helped my establish more nature within the home via plants and natural tapestries although nothing can beat being out in nature. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Go for a Daily WalkWhat have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
Tuhin Misri 4/27/2021 11:37 AMI have noticed that being out in nature helps my physically and mentally. I enjoy looking at nature and breath fresh air. Off late, I have been paying more conscious attention to native plants and pollinators .More sidewalks and nature areas would help, although I feel that there is a multitude of options in my area, as I live in the suburbs. I have never enjoyed living in a crowded city and seek open natural places . Hopefully I can explore more nature in and around my area, especially this spring and summer. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Stay on the GroundWhat was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?
Tuhin Misri 4/27/2021 11:32 AMAlthough I do drive an EV, the issue of my carbon footprint doesnt resolve unless the electricity used totally comes from renewable production sources. Wherever feasible, I try to reduce use to car entirely along with preferable use of EV to reduce carbon footprint. I haven't been in an airplane in the last 2+ years and continue to drive instead. -
