REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Climate Resilience Support Businesses Owned by Women, BIPOC, or ImmigrantsGlobally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. What have you done in the past to support women-owned businesses? How can you better support communities by supporting women?
Kathleen Mason 4/21/2021 4:27 PMI continue to support women in business in any way I can. I share their businesses on social media, partner with their businesses, and connect the dots network-wise whenever possible. I also believe voting for candidates that specifically express support for women's rights and issues is also a good place to start. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Support Local Food SystemsDependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?
Kathleen Mason 3/21/2021 1:28 PMSupporting local farmers inspires me the most, because it keeps their farms going and puts fresh food on our table. I believe engaging in this simple, symbiotic act will help the balance of life. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Tend A GardenHave you ever had a significant experience in nature that altered your perspective or focus? If so, please describe it.
Kathleen Mason 3/21/2021 1:18 PMMy mother would bird watch and now I do. Last year we had one robin that we helped get strong enough to fly away. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller PortionsWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
