definitely would be influence and education - these are sustainable solution to make the society more conscious about the importance of environmental sustainability.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Buildings Learn about the Legacy of Redlining
How does city planning and design relate to equity and climate change?

    Bianca Li's avatar
    Bianca Li 4/29/2021 2:46 AM
City planning and design would affect the flow of the air, precipitation of rain into the underground water layer, in-house warming etc. So it is of great importance which every Gov should pay attention to.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

    Bianca Li's avatar
    Bianca Li 4/28/2021 11:39 PM
Easier to control the actual potion we need to fulfill in every meal which helps to avoid food waste and is also good to health.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Coastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Smart Seafood Choices
Many states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?

    Bianca Li's avatar
    Bianca Li 4/28/2021 9:02 PM
Definitely. And what's more important is, eating only what you need.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Climate Resilience Support Local Food Systems
Dependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?

Supporting local farmers is key. HK is business-oriented hence we lack of suitable land and policy to support their agricultural business. Gov shall we put more focus in this space otherwise farmers will all be gone soon.

Not being able to see frost in HK anymore. I used to be able to see that during winter in the early morning when I was young and we loved that as it won't snow in HK.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Accelerating Solutions Choose Renewable Energy or Purchase Renewable Energy Credits
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

    Bianca Li's avatar
    Bianca Li 4/28/2021 8:43 PM
Keep reminding myself only to use electricity when needs. Influence others so that we can make small steps every single day.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Accelerating Solutions Support Microgeneration in Low Income Countries
How can micro energy solutions reduce inequities? Why is this important to you?

    Bianca Li's avatar
    Bianca Li 4/28/2021 8:23 PM
If everyone in the community can start to use micro energy solutions that can make impacts and meeting their own needs
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Action Track: Accelerating Solutions Support Indigenous Peoples' Land Management
Indigenous speaker and activist Winona LaDuke says that, "most indigenous ceremonies, if you look to their essence, are about the restoration of balance — they are a reaffirmation of our relationship to creation. That is our intent: to restore, and then to retain balance and honor our part in creation." Why is balance important to sustainability?

    Bianca Li's avatar
    Bianca Li 4/28/2021 8:19 PM
Links to unequal distribution of materials. Meat and food to usual people might just for hunger and living; could be an enjoyment to richer people for desire, and sometimes it causes food waste too. Eating more meat is unhealth and requires lots of resources to farm the livestock. We should find a right balance for it.
