REFLECTION QUESTIONCoastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Learn about BiocharCan biochar provide additional benefits besides sequestering carbon?
Monika Kamboures 4/02/2021 9:30 AMDue to its water retention, there is a potential for less contamination leaching into groundwater.

REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Accelerating Solutions Support Local Food SystemsDependable fresh food, supporting local farmers and building resilient communities are just a few benefits of local food systems. Which of these (or other) advantages inspire you the most?
Monika Kamboures 4/01/2021 9:39 AMI am most inspired local farmers-particularly during the pandemic. During this challenging time, they have been working to get fresh food into our communities. I think it is increasingly important to think about every aspect of where our food comes from.

Monika Kamboures 4/01/2021 9:24 AMWe are able to catch up with each other and savor the food we are eating. It is especially important as we are not having as much social interaction with schoolmates or co-workers.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Monika Kamboures 4/01/2021 9:09 AMPeople in richer countries have access to more resources including meat. This consumption can create health problems, increase GHGs, and ultimately affect land and water resources for many people.
