REFLECTION QUESTIONCoastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Smart Seafood ChoicesMany states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?
Raegan Jarvis 4/14/2021 1:17 PMOne of my most memorable days in college was coming into my fisheries economic class near the end of the quarter, and our professor was there with a makeshift sous vide and toaster oven cooking up salmon fillets for us to try. When he polled us about our favorite fillets, majority of us chose farmed fish. This was a surprise considering aquaculture is a heated debate, but we learned most fear surrounding farmed fish comes from a misrepresentation of the facts. When I went to Seafood Watch and started researching best choice salmon, I was impressed by the detail with which they explained the farming process to make the facts well-known. Next time at the supermarket, I'll definitely be making sure my seafood purchases line up with the "best choice" recommended by Seafood Watch.-

I watched the seafood Watch as well and I'm definitely not the same person.
