    An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. How would you rather use this money?

    WOW! That is a whole vacation...I would much rather do that!!! I'm trying to get more creative with meals and to use what we have! I'm also watching expiration dates on things in the pantry... if I don't think we are going to really use it, I'm going to donate it to our local food pantry!
