What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

Efficient use of resources throughout their entire useful life and beyond to the end of their life cycle. Education applied to daily decision making coupled with some smaller lifestyle changes could slowly lead to cultural change which is really what's needed in order for a sustainable community to become a reality.

Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?

I feel that time flowed more slowly but my total eating time was actually much shorter. I wasn't chewing or eating any faster than usual, but I wasn't distracted by other things and was really attuned to the moment I was in, which was eating. My focus was on the flavors, textures, combinations, etc.

Coastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Smart Seafood Choices
Many states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?

While I appreciate what on the surface looks like steps in the right direction, I still do not see any type of commercial fish farming as a sustainable practice. Yes, I rarely eat seafood and am primarily vegetarian, but when I do I want it to be high quality. I would still prefer to eat what I can catch in the wild.
