Reduce is what has the biggest impact and I am constantly trying to buy in bulk and avoid excess packaging. With 2 teenage boys it is a continuous effort. We are far from perfect but I have taught my kids to think about ways to reduce their impact.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

I am on a weight loss journey, after a year of stress eating. Eating smaller portions helps me lose weight and also helps me waste less. I am eating up all those fresh fruits and veggies that might have gone bad. And the scraps I do have either go to our Guinea pigs or to my compost.
