REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Learn More about BiomassHad you ever heard of biomass technology before you took this challenge? What did you learn that surprised you? Share your new knowledge with your friends!
William Chatham 4/29/2021 6:31 AMI had heard of the name, but did not really know in depth what it was or how it worked. I learned the process of turning different things like wood into a form of energy we can use to power things -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Research PeatlandsMuch of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?
William Chatham 4/27/2021 8:30 AMYou could spread awareness through your platforms, and maybe even start a fundraiser or group. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Learn More about SilvopastureHad you heard of the term "silvopasture" before now? After learning more about it, what do you think is the biggest advantage of silvopasture?
William Chatham 4/21/2021 7:59 AMNo, I have never heard of the term silvopasture until now. I think the best advantage of silvopasture is keeping the farmers animals safe and in a good habitat. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Forest-Friendly Foods 1How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
William Chatham 4/21/2021 7:42 AMI sometimes eat or drink things like coffee, candies, or other foods which contain ingredients that are main contributors to deforestation like cocoa or palm oil. Myself and others can be aware of how the food we eat is made. We can also switch to plant based diets.
