I just did some reading on redlining and its effects on climate change. I live in the Maryland suburbs right outside of  Washington DC. Before the pandemic I road the subway to work, I now drive. I live about 8 miles away from the museum, I have only been working three days a week, so 39 miles a week, pre-pandemic I only used my car once a week. I live within walking distance of at least three grocery stores, a library, a movie theater, and several restaurants, parks, etc.  Anyway, back to my original point, redlining… I have noticed as I am driving the temperature decreases at least 10 degrees as I get closer to home. Historically, mos  of Washington DC was considered the inner city no parks limited access to grocery stores etc. This website gives a little history.
