    I really appreciate this challenge... it makes me happy to think about how it's inspiring more people to care for the earth and do whatever they can to preserve its health for the future.

    I'm reading a book about a town in Italy that banned synthetic pesticides and it's very inspiring.

    I love looking in my backyard and seeing the native plants that draw a variety of insects and birds, and knowing that I haven't used pesticides to grow them, which is also good for the birds and insects.

    Eating less meat (or not meat) is good on many levels--for the environment, and also to help prevent animal cruelty, since much of our animal food system does not take into consideration either the environmental or the animals' well being.
