Kanan Beissert 4/22/2021 9:07 AMWhen I was in high school, we went on a camping trip to Joshua Tree. We were placed into random trail groups, and I was worried when I got placed in a group full of rowdy boys. I knew that they could be quite mean to each other at school, and I was worried they would be mean to me, too. But the first day we were there, we went bouldering together, and they were completely different people. We all worked together to help each other climb the boulders, and everyone remained really positive and encouraging. It was cool to see how getting away from the atmosphere of our campus allowed us all to be human beings again. -
