    Incorporating the 5 "R's" into my daily lifestyle makes me feel like I am going a small part toward a better future for next generations.  My goal is to instill this mindset in my family and other individuals to broaden that impact even more.

    By calculating my household carbon footprint, I learned that our biggest impact comes from transportation and food consumption/waste.  Immediate actions I will take include researching more eco-friendly transportation options and limiting food/goods purchases to only what is needed.

    Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?

    Practicing mindful eating has helped me and my family recognize and appreciate more fully what we have and the work/energy that went into each meal in front of us.  Cutting out distractions while eating increases awareness around how much we need to eat/drink in order to be satisfied and energized, helps curb over-eating, and helps decrease food waste over time.
