I joined the echo challenge to help reduce my carbon footprint.  My goal is to eat a plant based diet 6 days per week. This is day 3 of eating a plant based diet. 

Stormwater runoff in cities is a challenge.  It often results in sewage overflow into local rivers.  To reduce stormwater runoff from my property, I have installed permeable pavers in 1/2 of my driveway, built a rain garden below my sump-pump outlet, and bermed much of the lower border of my yard.  

It costs more per calorie to grow meat than to grow plants, since meat eats plants.  Too much red meat can cause circulation and heart problems.  Manure from factory farmed animals affects the quality of the groundwater and often emits methane, thus affecting quality of life for neighbors.
