  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Buildings
Cities and towns need to plan for climate change. How can your city or town make its climate action plans equitable and socially just?

Asheville can make the climate action plans socially just by putting money into more and better job opportunities so combat the rising prices of housing.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity
Geothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?

I could invest money it geothermal energy and also advocate for it by telling others to possibly invest.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

    Winter Wood 4/15/2021 5:54 PM
Now that I know that use by, sell by, and best by dates aren’t the end all be all, I might eat food after a best by date if I’m hungry enough.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Education
What are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?

One way women are disadvantaged in my community is that women are not taken as seriously in sports and often very underrepresented. Women also have less representation than men in film.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Education
What did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?

Family planning helps women have more safe contraceptions and reduce abortion and pregnancy rates. Some places have more safe contraceptives methods so these places need more work to have gender equality.
