REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityChanging lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?
Loryn Wolff 4/27/2021 7:26 AMEventually changing all of the lights bulbs into more energy efficient is the next step. I also only use light when it’s necessary so there is less energy use. -
Loryn Wolff 4/22/2021 11:03 PMToday on my walk I was able to see this different type of bird and it was bathing itself. As it was washing it’s self it was being pushed down the little stream and got to the end and would swim back up and starting bathing again. -
Loryn Wolff 4/21/2021 6:06 PMOn my walk today I saw a goose and they had white eyebrows. I thought that was super cool to see. I tried to get a picture, but they ran away. It was still something I haven't ever payed attention to before. -
Loryn Wolff 4/21/2021 7:54 AMYesterday I ended up taking two walks for study breaks. It was very nice outside and not to cold for night. The sky was clear and I was even able to see some stars -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
Loryn Wolff 4/20/2021 8:47 AMBy eating smaller portions it also helps our health. We don't over eat and are less likely to gain weight. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Accelerating SolutionsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Loryn Wolff 4/19/2021 7:30 PMWe are continue to affect everything. We are harming the planet, the animals, the environments and ourselves. We globally harm with all of the greenhouse gases we output. We also harm with waste and plastic usages. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. How would you rather use this money?
Loryn Wolff 4/19/2021 7:18 PMI would rather use this money to save up and be able to get a car that is more eco friendly then the one I have now. It would help me with using less gas and producing greenhouse gases and it would help save food because I wouldn't be wasting all of that food every year. -
Loryn Wolff 4/14/2021 7:17 PMToday I took a walk around the school campus. I was able to see some of the new baby geese. I never knew there turtles that live in the lakes. -
