When we talk about greenspace (and increasing it, protecting it, etc.) in our communities, it's interesting that it is often equated with parks, but even within that definition, you have grassy (soccer) fields or forest trails at two ends of the spectrum (or perhaps even further, completely undeveloped natural areas). I think we need to start thinking, especially in urban areas, how to shift the balance from thinking of "green spaces" to thinking of "forested spaces".
