  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Industry Learn About & Practice Sustainable Fashion
How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

You can upcycle what you already have, make them new in a way with your own style.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

Other benefits that can come from eating smaller food portion size is that you can feed yourself a certain portion size and then if still hungry add more but if not you won't be wasting food. Plus the more you eat or serve yourself the more your body wants and gets used to eating a lot.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Industry Choose Recycled Paper
Good job on choosing recycled paper! How can you take your action a step further?

    Esmeralda Vazquez Gomez's avatar
Esmeralda Vazquez Gomez 4/20/2021 11:21 PM
Why not make everything recycled like paper, new paper is always created by cutting down trees. I will try and not use as much paper only if needed but recycled paper.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

What concerns me most about the effect that we produce on the planet is that many people don't care or don't know, how badly we the people are the problem. We contaminate, pollute, cause deforestation, and species to go extinct.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity Calculate My Carbon Footprint
What stood out to you most about your carbon footprint? What surprised you or sparked curiosity? Where can you take most immediate action?

It is crazy how everything matters, everything we do each day as a consequence. Which all adds up to how many planets we need to survive the way that we live. For me, it was two and a half earth, actions that can be taken to decrease this footprint is to use less single-use plastic and reduce the amount of animal meat we consume.

I joined the challenge because I care for the environment and the future of what comes, we need to take responsibility for the actions that we take. Some actions that I always do are use a reusable bag, container and recycle. I also try and reduce my shopping expenses by thinking more sustainable and not fast fashion.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Industry Recycle Everything I Can
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

Implementing the R's in my daily lifestyle is amazing because it reminds you that you can live a happy and sustainable life which is better for you but also for the planet.
