REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?
Sophie Van Arnam 4/29/2021 10:33 AMI think investing time to advocate is so important, the government should make this a priority as well. Education is alos always a solution in these situations to educate yourself and others is possible most important. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityWhat does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?
Sophie Van Arnam 4/28/2021 9:14 AMI would want to put this more into normal life, I was shocked that I hadn't heard of this and we have a perfectly good option to make a change now. We would need to start taking this more seriously and use this regularly and on a regular basis. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONLand SinksHow is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Sophie Van Arnam 4/20/2021 9:01 AMMy actions affect the world and making smart responsible choices about the things I consume will help the environment I feel overwhelmed that this is not going to get done and people won’t make a change and the change I make won’t be enough or that I want always to be able to make the smartest choice. That people are learning about ways to make a change and that people want to be educated -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Sophie Van Arnam 4/19/2021 9:20 AMMy diet is affecting the environment because of the lack of knowledge I have in what I eat. I want to and can improve my effect on the environment by cutting out things that are unnecessary in my diet. I can go to the store and try the brand that is safe and healthy and figure out which I like best that I can incorporate into my diet. -
