Food, Agriculture, and Land Use
Keep Track of Wasted Food
Reduced Food Waste
I will keep a daily log of food I throw away during Earth Month Ecochallenge, either because it went bad before I ate it, I put too much on my plate, or it was scraps from food preparation.

Shawna Troyer 4/09/2021 4:35 PMKeeping track of personal food waste has been super easy as I've been working so much and most of my food has been delivered by doordash. Hopefully this weekend I can get myself into a position to have ready to go, home-cooked meals for the week. No muss, no fuss, save money. Does "Support local food systems" count if you talked with a wild-harvester and told him I'd buy weekly when season starts? (probably this week or next). -
Shawna Troyer 4/06/2021 7:11 AMIt's slow going, so far. Hope everyone is having a great start to April! -
Shawna Troyer 4/02/2021 8:50 AMMy first day of the eco-challenge was spent enjoying a day off from work, and nowhere near my work computer. Power down. It was nice! (but since I participate from my work computer: No points/tracking happened). There's a rumor we may have snow again, but for now the weather is beautiful and sunny. Happy Spring! -
Shawna Troyer 3/17/2021 12:29 PMHappy St Patrick's Day! -
Shawna Troyer 2/23/2021 3:54 PMI don't believe my company is participating this year, as they are working on their own company-wide sustainability program. But I appreciate having set goals to work towards and check boxes and have posted reminders which ecochallenge provides. Thank you for doing this!
