REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Climate ResilienceHow do wetlands differ from other ecosystems -- both in the services they offer and in your personal experience of them?
Destiny Suarez 4/30/2021 10:16 AMwetlands reduce erosion, recharges aquifers, and provides habitat for many wildlife species. Our ocean takes care of us and if we don't take care of it, we will lose our biggest, main, supporter -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustryHow close is the nearest climate-friendly supermarket to your home? How could you encourage local supermarket to reduce or phase out their use of HFC refrigerants?
Destiny Suarez 4/30/2021 9:53 AMThe problem here is, I couldn't find one anywhere near me! I've though many times of going into business on a eco-friendly, zero waste store I just don't know where to start! I could encourage them by giving them the facts and details while proceeding with options that best fit them -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and EducationHow are people responding to the statistics you're sharing on social media?
Destiny Suarez 4/30/2021 9:46 AMMost people are shocked! or are grateful for the reminder to be/become sustainable -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustryWhat did you learn about the climate impact of refrigerants? How do supermarkets contribute to this impact?
Destiny Suarez 4/30/2021 9:40 AMThis isn't really of what I Learned but more of what surprise me of what I learn. Its the fact we use the items and purchase these goods every single day and do not realize the mass production behind them. -
Destiny Suarez 4/30/2021 8:09 AMGood morning!!
I am so sad this challenge will be coming to an end! I am glad I will be able to take what I learned and apply it to mine and many others advocacy -
Destiny Suarez 4/29/2021 9:00 AMGood Morning everyone! Lets end these last two days strong :D
On another note, if you haven't watched Seaspiracy yet (i'm a little late on watching it) DO IT! Before you watch it prepare yourselves- I cried at least 5 times! And bring something for notes. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and EducationWhat did you learn about the need for family planning? How do the needs of different people in different places compare to each other?
Destiny Suarez 4/28/2021 9:34 AMWhen I first introduced myself to this topic I thought it was about planning for future vacations or groceries, but I was completely wrong! I love this concept. This brings in the whole demands of woman having easy and affordable access to birth control, Plan B, and many many other products/items that can create safe/smart sex. Individuals should be able to decide when they want to have a child and be provided with all the support necessary to reach their goal of having a child when they see best fits. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land UseHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Destiny Suarez 4/28/2021 9:30 AMSometimes people believe these all mean the same thing however they are very very different indeed. Me being able to identify the differences help me become better with not only being more conscious of what I throw out but being more wiser with what I decide to rebuy!-

REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Accelerating SolutionsHow can micro energy solutions reduce inequities? Why is this important to you?
Destiny Suarez 4/28/2021 9:22 AMMicro energy solutions can help with marginalized communities. From many studies- it shows that underclass communities spend way more of their paychecks on energy than wealthy communities. Micro energy is way more reliable and can be built up to accommodate the needs of any community.
