  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Use Muscle Power
How do your transportation choices affect your engagement in your community? Does your experience or enjoyment differ while walking, riding transit, biking or driving?

Well all the transportation choices are a different way to interact with my community, for example, if I would go walking I would need to focus my attention into my surroundings whether it's car or a person following me or if the street has enough security, or people around me, trying to keep safe distance from everyone.
if it's riding Uber I would focus on the path followed by the driver, that he is not going elsewhere the app is marking and making sure someone knows I'm in that ride, if is a bus, subway or public transportation i try to make sure I see all people around me, where are we going, who is getting the same ride and who is leaving the bus, etc, and biking well I just focus on not to fall and not being run over.

The normalized use of plastic and the fast-fashion concerns me the most.

I started in the middle of it, however, I noticed I already did some things ever before entering the ecochallenge, that makes me feel happy and now I want to do some other things as well.

How does using human-powered transportation make you feel compared to using other methods of transportation?

    Ale Soriano 4/15/2021 10:45 AM
Since I'm still learning how to use the bike in the city I still feel nervous, however, I feel frisky when I do It.

How could better walking infrastructure make your city both more enjoyable and more equitable?

    Ale Soriano's avatar
    Ale Soriano 4/15/2021 10:44 AM
It would incentivize citizens to walk on safer and beautiful streets.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How can you ensure that your virtual meetings honor your values and your company's culture?

    Ale Soriano's avatar
    Ale Soriano 4/15/2021 10:41 AM
I don't need to do meetings for my work, but for social meetings, I always rather use a virtual meeting than going to an actual one.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Use Public Transit
How has your access to various kinds of transportation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?

    Ale Soriano's avatar
    Ale Soriano 4/15/2021 10:40 AM
I grew up in a family that always owned a car, however when I started highschool I started to move on my own in public transportation, ever since I rather use public transportation since is cheap, fast and more independent.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
