REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Climate Resilience Research and Advocate for High-Speed RailWhat are the factors that influence your choice of transportation? These can include things like money, time, and convenience, as well as perceptions of danger or safety. What would need to change for you to regularly choose more climate-friendly options?
Cara Snow 4/25/2021 2:27 PMI try to only use my hybrid car when I go out or travel, because it pollutes less and is cheaper for gas. If high speed rail is finally accessible in my area, I plan to use it for long-distance traveling as much as I can. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use CompostingProducing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?
Cara Snow 4/20/2021 9:26 PMIt is more environmentally safe to use composting rather than fertilizer and makes me feel better about throwing away uneaten food. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Accelerating Solutions Support Businesses Owned by Women, BIPOC, or ImmigrantsGlobally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. What have you done in the past to support women-owned businesses? How can you better support communities by supporting women?
Cara Snow 4/18/2021 10:07 PMIn the past I have chosen a woman doctor who owns her own practice.
When looking for a local business, you can look at a women's business only website first.
