    Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

    Great question! I feel like eating meat is status. It denotes wealth, access, power and domination of the earth's natural resources. There is also a mythology around the amount of protein our bodies need, and specifically from animal products. If people really understood and experienced the health, vitality and ethics of a plant-based diet, they would most certainly shift.

    During the pandemic all meetings have been virtual. This has actually improved attendance at many regular meetings, and certainly has helped students maintain their 1:1 appointments, which is a huge benefit. As we transition back to campus I am hopeful that we can retain this practice wherever possible.

    My carbon footprint has been severely reduced since the pandemic began, simply by not commuting to and from work each day. I hope that we can take these benefits of the working remote on a mass scale and implement a collective societal opportunity such as a"work from home day" or week to keep emissions low.
