    How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

    Often these dates just talk about peak quality of food and not when they are actually bad for you. Your nose & eyes are a better judge than the "best by" or "sell by" dates - these are all about top freshness and not about getting sick by eating them. This means, I don't need to worry about throwing things out after their dates have passed as long as they stills smell/look/feel right.

    I drink a lot of coffee and could spend more time making sure the coffee I drink is not contributing to deforestation. It also seems like palm oil is in everything. I should find some brands I like and trust to stick with that don't use it.
