What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

organic wastes can be converted to energy and fertilizers and can help the community to sustain their needs.

While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

It would avoid over eating habits and keep us active always.
While we fill the plate more than what we eat, would not attract the eater to enjoy the taste of the preparation and tend to create an alert to finish the food mechanically
if we fill our plate over the requirement, we may not allow others to share it

How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

i can be sure of the quality life time of the product while i about to use by referring the dates. This would help good healthy eating and avoid unwanted food borne illness.
I always ensure checking the dates "useby" and 'bestbefore' more particularly for dairy products and generally for all items i buy.
