Volunteers will help build up the urban farm and plant potatoes at the North County Agricultural Education Center, which works to combat food apartheid. Light snacks will be available and volunteers receive an Earth Day Celebration Kit.

I will tend to a garden, or prepare for one, each day using sustainable gardening practices.

I will calculate the greenhouse gas emissions associated with my household and consider how different lifestyle choices could reduce my negative impact on the environment.

I will enjoy 2 meatless or vegan meal(s) each day of the challenge.

I will start a compost bin where I live.

I will watch a video about methane digesters (also commonly known as anaerobic digesters).
