I have heard of biomass before but i didn't realise that is is a pretty good energy source.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land Sinks
Much of Indonesia's peatlands have been drained so they could be replaced with palm oil or pulp and paper plantations. How can you make choices that help to protect peatlands, even if you live far away from one?

one way I could help to support peatlands is to buy less palm oil.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?

    Owen Pearson's avatar
    Owen Pearson 4/19/2021 4:55 PM
My diet is impacting deforestation by eating palm oil and some meat. Right now I don't really look for food without palm oil in it but i am going to try to start doing it now.

I will think more about the dates in stores and an my house. I will also not try to throw away food just because its past the date.
