Frederick S. Moses 4/07/2021 6:18 PMLast week I had a call with an Oil & Gas company that is looking to do quite a bit of Geothermal feasibility studies. For them, it makes good business sense.

Make it a Habit to Drive for better MPG
By far, the best recommendation to reduce your fuel consumption is to NOT drive your car. Opt to walk or bike when you can. When you have to drive, there are a few habits to be mindful of to reduce your fuel consumption. Avoiding bad driving habits like accelerating too quickly or late braking and using your cruise control more frequently can all improve MPG. To make things more interesting, keep track of your MPG with each tank fill-up and challenge yourself or compete with a friend to improve the results each time. REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?
Rita Ohaya 4/07/2021 3:51 PMI certainly think at this time I can advocate for geothermal energy until I am in a position to invest money into it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricityYour utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?
Rita Ohaya 4/05/2021 8:40 AMI can replace some of the bulbs I have with more efficient options. And at high peak times, reduce my usage of the air conditioner as it is getting really hot in Sacramento.
