Participant Feed

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Support Microgeneration in Low Income Countries
How can micro energy solutions reduce inequities? Why is this important to you?

    Dave Mason's avatar
    Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:26 PM
Microgrids is basically decentralized energy.  It is amazing the percentage of people in the world who live without reliable energy. Microgrids are a more feasible solution for areas without energy infrastructure
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Advocate For Greener Vehicles
How does advocating for green vehicles in your community connect to your values? How might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to fuel-efficient vehicles?

    Dave Mason's avatar
    Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:22 PM
Electrifying local fleets means fewer emissions and cleaner air.

Sharing with others the value of electrified vehicles
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Eat Mindfully
Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?

    Dave Mason's avatar
    Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:19 PM
Being more present.  More aware of what I am consuming and how much
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Electricity Learn More About Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?

    Dave Mason's avatar
    Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:18 PM
Unfortunately geothermal is still very expensive even with the government tax credits and rebates.   Hopefully technology will drive down costs and carbon fees will increase fossil fuels and government will shift fossil fuel subsidies to renewable to make them more affordable
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Electricity Calculate My Carbon Footprint
What stood out to you most about your carbon footprint? What surprised you or sparked curiosity? Where can you take most immediate action?

    Dave Mason's avatar
    Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:14 PM
Not too surprised.  Home energy consumption is a big portion with opportunities to electrify and go solar. Followed by moving from ICE vehicles to electric powered by solar
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Coastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Building With Carbon Storing Waste Products
How feasible do you think it is for society to build with agricultural waste products?

    Dave Mason's avatar
    Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:11 PM
Repurposing waste products makes sense. We cannot afford to keep adding to the ever growing waste throughout the world.
