REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Support Microgeneration in Low Income CountriesHow can micro energy solutions reduce inequities? Why is this important to you?
Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:26 PMMicrogrids is basically decentralized energy. It is amazing the percentage of people in the world who live without reliable energy. Microgrids are a more feasible solution for areas without energy infrastructure -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Advocate For Greener VehiclesHow does advocating for green vehicles in your community connect to your values? How might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to fuel-efficient vehicles?
Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:22 PMElectrifying local fleets means fewer emissions and cleaner air.
Sharing with others the value of electrified vehicles -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Learn More About Geothermal EnergyGeothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?
Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:18 PMUnfortunately geothermal is still very expensive even with the government tax credits and rebates. Hopefully technology will drive down costs and carbon fees will increase fossil fuels and government will shift fossil fuel subsidies to renewable to make them more affordable -
REFLECTION QUESTIONElectricity Calculate My Carbon FootprintWhat stood out to you most about your carbon footprint? What surprised you or sparked curiosity? Where can you take most immediate action?
Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:14 PMNot too surprised. Home energy consumption is a big portion with opportunities to electrify and go solar. Followed by moving from ICE vehicles to electric powered by solar -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCoastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Building With Carbon Storing Waste ProductsHow feasible do you think it is for society to build with agricultural waste products?
Dave Mason 4/23/2021 6:11 PMRepurposing waste products makes sense. We cannot afford to keep adding to the ever growing waste throughout the world. -
