One thing I should note about was that you should ask your favorite chocolate company where their coco comes from. Some products don’t list fair trade or sustainable but actually are.

Transportation
Make it a Habit to Drive for better MPG
By far, the best recommendation to reduce your fuel consumption is to NOT drive your car. Opt to walk or bike when you can. When you have to drive, there are a few habits to be mindful of to reduce your fuel consumption. Avoiding bad driving habits like accelerating too quickly or late braking and using your cruise control more frequently can all improve MPG. To make things more interesting, keep track of your MPG with each tank fill-up and challenge yourself or compete with a friend to improve the results each time. Click below to LEARN more driving habits to reduce your fuel consumption.
Transportation
Improve the MPG on my existing car.
Not everyone has the pocket book to purchase a new electric, hybrid or 40+ MPG vehicle. But you can still do your part to improve your current vehicle's MPG. Regular maintenance and replacement of a few key items will go a long way toward that goal. Click the LEARN button below to explore what you can do to get the most out of your tank of gas:

REFLECTION QUESTIONLand Sinks Forest-Friendly Foods 1How is your diet currently impacting deforestation? What can you do to decrease your negative impact and increase your positive impact?
Manda Magee 4/29/2021 4:56 AMI knew about Coco and coffee. But Palm oil, I didn’t know it was in so many food products. It’s also funny that the last item is most proteins.
One thing I should note about was that you should ask your favorite chocolate company where their coco comes from. Some products don’t list fair trade or sustainable but actually are.

Manda Magee 4/29/2021 4:04 AMJust two days left. Such a great season this year. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Education Support Businesses Owned by Women, BIPOC, or ImmigrantsGlobally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. What have you done in the past to support women-owned businesses? How can you better support communities by supporting women?
Manda Magee 4/27/2021 6:57 AMOne thing that always gets me, is that most products and services that Women sell is feminine. Women can sell to other women, but it's hard to sell to other men. Men generally don't want to buy beer from a girl, or tools from a girl. Even if it maybe a better product.
Even the categories in this website are feminine in nature. I don't know how to change this.

REFLECTION QUESTIONCoastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Smart Seafood ChoicesMany states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?
Manda Magee 4/13/2021 12:33 PMThis was fascinating to learn more about Seafood. I always thought it was just about "dolphin safe" but it's much more than that.
This website was amazing. https://www.seafoodwatch.org/-
Frederick S. Moses 4/13/2021 7:16 PMMercury is the big item when it comes to fish, specifically tuna. Also, microplastics are being consumed by smaller fish, which in turn being consumed by larger fish, which down the line humans are impacted when eating.

REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustry Recycle Everything I CanHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?
Manda Magee 4/02/2021 2:43 PMI love doing this action every EcoChallenge. It really makes me think about what my waste is like.-
Frederick S. Moses 4/02/2021 3:05 PMThis sometimes sounds mundane with over usage by various groups. And one can assume, that everyone is doing it. But, it is good to have the R's Reminder. The reminder helps us stay cognizant on spreading the message.
